I have been battling insomnia this summer. I seem to be losing the fight. Last night was a particularly brutal battle.
I tried several times to go to bed last night. I would lay down and turn the television to something mildly (very mildly) interesting. For me the best bedtime shows are on the history channel, discovery or A & E. Many times I go to ESPN as a last resort. But last night I just seemed to toss and turn every time I tried to rest.
It has been quite warm here and my house is not air conditioned. This made sleeping much more difficult. In addition to tossing and turning, I felt like I was sweating and sticking to the sheets. I finally gave up on the bed and went to the living room. I literally sat in a chair and rocked myself to sleep. How pathetic is that? Finally, at around 5:00 am I wondered back to bed. It had finally cooled off enough for me to sleep there. Either that or I was sleepy enough that it no longer mattered.
I wondered how I would deal with that if Master were here. First, Master and I tend to be busy enough that we are tired. (Get your mind out of the gutter!) Secondly, Master and I relax when we are together. Finally, I think Master is so well versed in relaxation techniques that he could probably get me to relax most nights.
Are you ready for that, Master? Getting me to sleep every night? Or will you require me to drink a warm glass of milk?

that is enought to keep anyone wide awake. Forcast is for cooler weather a head. Hope that helps.
Hope things are going well for you. Are you ready to be invaded by the little whippersnappers?
Yeah. Me, either.
