This is what Master has told me about an upcoming Christmas present. The idea excites me.

To bear a cross usually means that one has something difficult they must deal with. It comes from Jesus bearing his cross, without complaining, Jesus willing bore what his father in heaven asked him to bear.

So I feel about “bearing a cross” for my Master. Granted, I believe this cross is most likely of the wearable jewelry variety (although I don’t know for sure; Master won’t tell me.) Never the less, it will remind me of so much. It will serve as a reminder that I have agreed to bear trials for my Master if need be, and that I have agreed to bear them patiently. It will remind me that I simply serve one above me, and am guided by doing that which pleases him. For me, it will be a physical reminder of my station and purpose in life, to serve my Master.

xMaster says that I will have a cross to bear for him for Christmas. He will say no more than that.

I take it that one of his presents to me will include a cross of some sort, probably a wearable one. I will talk more in the next post about how I feel about “bearing a cross” for my Master.

Master has also said that he has gotten me something from Victoria’s Secret. This one has me stumped. Victoria’s Secret is known for clothing, particularly of the intimate variety. However, Master and I really haven’t discussed sizes beyond large and extra–large. Victoria’s Secret does sell other things, like handbags and such, but that doesn’t seem quite right. So, what has Master gotten me from Victoria’s Secret? As Master pointed out, they don’t sell hand cuffs.

I have a new car! New to me, that is. I traded in the van on a 2005 Chevy Classic with 41,000 miles on it.

List of things that are NOT wrong with the car (but were wrong with the van): molding coming off. hatch not staying up, one door falling off, damage caused by accident that the dealer did not disclose to me when I bought the van, new engine due to leaking antifreeze, bad side mirror, broken window, etc, etc, etc.

This car automatically comes with at 3 month, 3,000 mile warranty through the dealer. They do that on all of their cars. They think they have checked them over well enough that they know their vehicles are good. By that time, I should know, too.

So, Master, next time you are here, no more van. This car is probably safe enough for a cross country trip.

Yesterday was our first snow storm of the year. We got the whole gamut: snow, sleet, freezing rain. There was a winter storm warning, and I didn’t go out of town. Should I be glad it was snowing? It allowed me to stay in town and get some things done. It also made things Christmasy. But, I HATE to shovel.

Well, I have decided. I DO NOT like our winter storm. I went out this morning to shovel. Like I said, we got both snow and freezing rain. There is a nice crust over the 3 inches of snow we got. I would need a pick ax to work away at that!

My hope now is that it will warm up a little and I can shovel when it does. I hope, I hope, I hope.

Master, when are we going to move into a little apartment together and let someone else do the shoveling?
